    The 125th anniversary of our Association of Engineers and Scientists of Luxembourg will be marked by an unforgettable gala evening on September 30, at the Tramsschapp, 49, rue Ermesinde, in Luxembourg city. During this evening, focus will be laid upon the future of sciences and engineering and their role in society. We have invited Mr Ranga Yogeshwar to give us his vision of the future and to share with us his insights as a scientist to a changing world.

    We have the great honor to be able to count on the presence of H.R.H. Grand Duke Henri, accompanied by H.R.H. Grand Duchess Maria Teresa. We will also be privileged to welcome Mrs Lydie Polfer, Mayor of Luxembourg, Mr Franz Fayot, Minister of Economy, Cooperation and Humanitarian Action and Mr Claude Meisch, Minister of National Education, Children and Youth.

    All this leaves us with an exceptional programme which will be followed by a cocktail so that we can share a very special moment together.

    Keynote by Mr Ranga Yogeshwar: “Emil’s Welt”

    20:40 – Cocktail and Walking Dinner

    The programme will start at 19:00 sharp. The speeches will be held in Luxembourgish, except for the keynote speech wich will be held in German. French interpretation will be made available.

    Underground parking is available. The Tramsschapp is also reachable within walking distance by bus (Nr 2, Bus stop: Alen Tramsschapp) and by tram (Tram stop: Theater).

    Ranga Yogeshwar

    Considered one of the leading independent science journalists in Germany, Ranga Yogeshwar is dedicated to bringing science to the general public.

    Born in Luxembourg in 1959, he has received major media awards for his journalistic contributions and publications. Yogeshwar graduated in physics from RWTH Aachen University. In 1987 he joined the German television station WDR Köln. Since 2008 he has been working as an independent science journalist. For his work, Ranga has received more than 50 media awards and received an honorary doctorate from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Information and Media at the University of Wuppertal in 2009.
