Luxport

During this visit, we will have the opportunity to discover how Luxport operates — the only inland port in Luxembourg and a strategic hub for national logistics
The visit will begin with a presentation of about 20 minutes, followed by an open exchange with the Luxport representatives.
We will then continue with a full tour of the site: the handling of bulk goods will be our first stop. We will also visit the halls where beams of up to 50 meters in length are welded — an impressive insight into the industrial expertise present on site.
The visit will continue with the container yard as well as the coating facility used for treating the beams. A unique opportunity to observe up close the various activities of a major industrial and logistics site.
For this visit, it will be possible to register an accompanying person. If the number of registrations exceeds the number of available places, participants will be selected by lot among the members registered by Wednesday, 28 January, via the online form below:
Wearing sturdy shoes is mandatory.
As the number of parking spaces is limited, it is recommended to park your car in Mertert (at the roundabout at the entrance of the village or in the parking area next to the “friterie”) or near the Päiperleksgaart Grevenmacher, and then reach the site by carpooling.
Parking is possible next to the administrative building or along the Moselle.
