Led by Anouk Hilger (administrator IngSci), a group of our members had the opportunity to take an exclusive tour of the Meluxina supercomputer in Bissen.
At the premises of LuxConnect and its subsidiary LuxProvide, visitors were given all the information about this important link in a network of supercomputers spread across the continent, in 32 countries, on the initiative of the European Commission.
Meluxina is one of the most powerful of these. The highlight was a visit to the DC2 data centre, which houses the Luxembourg supercomputer. “During the visit, our guests discovered the high-quality infrastructure and the extensive efforts LuxConnect puts into ensuring full redundancy and operational excellence”, said our hosts, glad to have the opportunity to exchange with a group of engineers.
